Itinerary

Day One: You will be picked up from an agreed location in Kampala at 7am and driven to Kibale National Park for a distance of about 405Km with healthy stopovers in Mubende and Fort Portal towns for snacks. Proceed to Isunga Lodge which is just at the boundary of the Park. Check-in at Isunga, have lunch and relax as you wait to go for an evening nature walk in Bigodi Wetland. This is an opportunity for you to enjoy one of East Africa’s most beautiful and varied forests without being on pressure to locate Chimpanzees but only enjoying nature and ticking off a dozen of birds on your list. Return back to the Lodge and spend the evening at leisure.

Day Two: Have early breakfast starting at 6am and soon after set off to Kanyanchu information point for briefing about Chimpanzee Tracking which will take about an hour or less. After the briefing head off to the forest with Ranger Guides and Support staff who will help in locating habituated Chimpanzee families for about 2 to 4hours and on meeting a Chimpanzee family, you will spend an hour with it while taking photos. Return back from the forest and head to the Lodge for lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure while enjoying the Lodge's facilities.

Day Three: Have breakfast and checkout of Isunga Lodge by 9am. Transfer back to Kampala covering a distance of about 405Km with a health stopover in Mubende town. Proceed with your journey to Kampala, arriving at 5pm and be dropped off at an agreed place.
