Package Overview

This 7days’ safari includes going for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and a game drive for wildlife viewing all in Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and unwinding at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest Crater Lake.

Itinerary

Day One: You will be picked up from an agreed location in Kampala at 6am and driven to QENP for about 420Km with healthy stopovers at the Equator line in Kayebwe and Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara for lunch. Arrive at the Park in the afternoon and straight away go for a 4pm boat cruise down the Kazinga Channel where you expect to have a glimpse of the highest Hippopotamus concentrations in Africa. After the boat cruise proceed to Simba Safari Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Two: Set off at 6am for an early morning game drive in QENP with packed breakfast, while on this 4hours game drive expect to see lots of wildlife like; Antelopes, African Elephants, Buffalos as well as Lions and Leopards if luck is on your side. After the game drive, return back to the Lodge and relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch, spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day Three: Have breakfast at 7am, checkout of Simba Safari Camp and transfer to Rushaga Gorilla Camp for about 260Km, just at the footnote of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive in time for lunch, check-in and immediately have lunch. Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you prepare for your gorilla tracking activity.

Day Four: Wake up to an early breakfast starting at 6:30am, thereafter report for briefing at the gorilla tracking point by 7:50am. Set off into the forest at 9:00am with packed lunch and spend about 4 to 6hours tracking down a gorilla family. Upon finding one, you will spend an hour with it while taking photos. Return back from the forest and head to the Camp. Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you reminisce on your gorilla tracking experience.

Day Five: After having breakfast, checkout of Rushaga Gorilla Camp at 9am and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for about 50Km. Check-in at Arcadia Cottages, relax as you wait to have lunch. After lunch, spend the rest of the day at leisure while enjoying the Lodge’s facilities.

Day Six: Have breakfast at 8am and soon after breakfast go out on a 3hours boat cruise to explore the numerous islands on the second deepest Crater Lake in Africa. Return back to the Lodge for lunch after which you can choose to take part in adrenaline stimulating activities like; participating in the Kiga energetic dance, zip lining, cycling around the lake or even canoeing.

Day Seven: After a delightful breakfast, checkout of Arcadia Cottages by 8am and transfer to Kampala for about 420Km, passing via Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara and the Equator line in Kayebwe. Proceed to Kampala, arriving at 6pm and be dropped off at an agreed place.
