Package Overview

Murchison Falls National Park previously known as Kabalega National Park is by-far the largest and best National Park for wildlife viewing in Uganda. The park offers you an ultimate safari experience in the middle of Africa with wonderful and eye catching sceneries. Expect to see the Big Five as well as other wild animals on a game drive, different Bird Species (over 460), aquatic animals all along and in the river Nile as well as the epic thundering Murchison Falls as the river struggles to pass through a narrow gorge of 6meters wide hence dropping down 45m.

Itinerary

Day One: Set off from Kampala at 6am covering a total distance of 320Km to Murchison Falls National Park. Pass via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking, starting at 9 to 11am and then head to Kabalega Dinners for early lunch at 12:00. After lunch, proceed to the top of Murchison Falls arriving at 3pm. Spend about 30 minutes at top of the falls and continue with your journey up to the southern ferry crossing point. Cross to the northern river bank at 6:00pm and head straight to Paraa Safari Lodge for overnight stay. Check-in and spend the evening at leisure.

Day Two: Leave the Lodge at 6:30am with packed breakfast for a 4hours morning game drive across the open savannah of the park. Expect to see the spectacular sunrise and amazing wildlife like; Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Antelopes, Warthogs, Patas Monkeys, Baboons, Savanna Monitor Lizards and various Bird Species as well as Lions and Leopards if luck is on your side.

Return back to the Lodge and relax as you wait for lunch. Immediately after lunch, go for a 2pm boat cruise upstream of river Nile up to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Expect to see a lot of Hippos, Huge Nile Crocodiles, Colobus Monkeys and different Bird Species such as; the Pied King Fisher, African Fish Eagle and many others, all seen along the banks of river Nile. This part of the boat cruise is what makes this whole expedition the most incredible ever. Return to the Lodge at 5pm and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Three: After having breakfast, you will go for a three hours nature walk starting at 7:30 to 10:30am. Return to Paraa Lodge at 11am and relax as you wait for lunch. Immediately after lunch, go for a boat cruise to the Nile Delta where you expect to see the shoebill stork and other bird species. Also expect to catch a glimpse of the spectacular sunset along river Nile on your way back. After the delta boat cruise, drive straight to Chobe Safari Lodge for about 110Km arriving there in time for dinner. Check-in, have dinner and rest.

Day Four: Have breakfast and checkout of Chobe Safari Lodge by 8am. Transfer back to Kampala City for a distance of about 280Km with a healthy stopover at Kabalega Dinners for lunch. Proceed with your journey to Kampala, arriving at 4pm and be dropped off at an agreed place.
